I saw a brooch recentkly at a charity shop and took a look. I asked how much it was , "its £1.50 dear - rather nice little object." Rather nice -- i should coco and way too cheap ! I said "would you take a fiver for it?" the response was "off course I would", followed by "are you kidding?". I said no problem put the rest as a donation. It was great to make that persons day - and it made mine too.
Spend time with someone from a different generation is very go0d and useful idea in order to improve our moral .... personally i ve done this and i prefer u to do it.
I did this a few years ago over the summer holidays, it took me about the whole summer to finally get my Gran onto a mobile phone! And now she loves it, her language is minimal and text messages generally consist of text speak aka, "k" for ok, "y?" for why? and "u" for you...which makes me laugh as she's always complaining about the language us "young people" use, and how vocabulary nowadays isn't as well used as back in her day :)
I thought to myslef why do people leave the tap on while brushing their teeth. I used to leave it on but then i turned it off. My mums water bill dropped by 20% and she was very pleased
i never used to turn it off, i just locked it and left it on, whenever i went to sleep, whenever i went to college, etc ... but now, after getting used to doing it, it has become a habit of turning it off :)
In primary school everyone was my friend and eveyone was involved apart from one person. He was always on his own until i thought to myself why is everyone involved apart from him. So I invited to our game of tig and it turned out he was the best and from that day forth all my mates have involved everyone even if they are not their friend.
I went through my bookshelf at home, all the really tatty books i recycled, and the books which i no longer read, i took to the charity shop in my local town.
