The planet is heating up at a rapid rate and it is up to us to stop it. We need to save power in as many ways as we can: turning off lights, using renewable power etc.

    i turn off the lights when no one is in the room, i only have the light on if i cant see what im doing, i use energy saving lightbulbs, i unplug everthing when not in use, i walk everywhere. 14 March 2010, 17:38

    Standby Saver

    We got a free Standby Saver in the summer from British Gas which has all our TV equipment plugged into it. I just have to press the "off" button on the remote and it switches everything off so it's not on standby. SO easy to set up and do, everyone should have one.     Turn off my internet router over night

    100% renewable energy electricity provider

    I have changed my provider who was generating with fossil fuel and nuclear power. Now I pay a bit more but every watt-hour should come from renewables. 28 November 2009, 16:02
